Amen for a company that doesn't test on animals! I'm a dark brunette who is currently dyed nearly-platinum blonde. I bought both the shampoo and conditioner together. This shampoo has really kept the brassiness out of my hair while helping it stay hydrated and shiny. I've been toying around with times of keeping the shampoo/conditioner on and I haven't noticed any times that will turn your hair purple or anything, but even just two or three minutes on each provides a nice toning to rid the brassy tones. I've used stronger brands and if you're looking for something to actually make your hair silver, then this isn't the brand for you. Be cautious, they are both DARK PURPLE and will splatter on your shower, but a little water from the shower head and it comes right off. The shampoo sucks at lathering so I just do a half a pump and massage onto the top half of my hair and a half a pump on the bottom. With the conditioner, I've just been mixing it about 50/50 with another conditioner because it doesn't make my hair soft.
